U.S. News & World Report announced the results of its comprehensive survey to identify the top children’s hospitals in the country in ten pediatric specialties. Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego was ranked amongst the nation’s best in five pediatric specialties. With more than 200 children’s hospitals in the United States, the top rankings place Rady Children’s among the nation’s elite.
The 2010 edition of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals, the most extensive listing of its kind, ranked hospitals in cancer, diabetes & endocrinology, gastroenterology, heart & heart surgery, kidney, neonatology, neurology & neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulminology, and urology. The specialties at Rady Children’s ranking in the top 30 are: orthopedics (#4), urology (#12), neonatology (#27), diabetes & endocrinology (#28), and pulminology (#30) .
